Agreement To These Terms

These Terms of Service (the "terms") are a binding agreement between you and Corvie LLC ("Corvie", "we", "us"). They govern the corvie browser extension, the corvie.app website, corvie cloud sync, and related services (together, the "service"). By installing the extension, visiting the website, creating an account, or subscribing, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What corvie Is

• The free extension saves and organizes browser tabs entirely on your device. No account is needed, and free libraries live in your browser's extension storage.
• Corvie Pro is a paid subscription that adds corvie cloud: end-to-end encrypted sync across browsers and devices, hosted AI organization, and the other features described on corvie.app.
• Corvie is distributed through browser extension stores such as the Chrome Web Store, Firefox Add-ons, and the App Store. Those stores' own terms also apply to your download and use of the extension.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use corvie, and old enough to consent to online services in your country without a parent or guardian (16 in some regions). If you use corvie Pro, you must also be able to form a binding contract. Corvie is not directed at children.

Your Account

• The free extension needs no account. Corvie cloud requires an account created with Google sign-in or an email address and password, plus a verified email address for sync, billing, and hosted AI.
• Keep your sign-in credentials secure and do not share your account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account, and the information you give us must be accurate.
• You can be locked out. If you lose access to your Google account or email address, or cannot complete verification, you may be unable to sign in to corvie cloud. Corvie cannot hand an account to someone who cannot authenticate as its owner, so we may be unable to restore access. Losing your sign-in is separate from losing your encryption passphrase; either one can lock you out.

Encryption, Passphrases, And Permanent Data Loss

Synced libraries are end-to-end encrypted. Your data is encrypted on your device before it syncs, and Corvie's servers store only ciphertext plus an encrypted ("wrapped") copy of your data key. Your passphrase never leaves your devices, so neither Corvie nor its service providers can read a synced library. This design has a hard consequence that you accept by using corvie cloud:

• You are solely responsible for safeguarding your passphrase and your recovery code, and for keeping them available to you.
• Losing access to encrypted data because a passphrase or recovery code was lost is a consequence of the encryption you chose, not a defect in the service.

Your Data, Exports, And Responsibility For Loss

• Your saved data belongs to you. You grant Corvie only the limited rights needed to operate the service: storing and transmitting your encrypted records for sync, and processing the specific data you choose to send when you use a feature such as hosted AI. We claim no other rights over your content.
• Free local libraries exist only in your browser's extension storage on that device. Clearing browser data, removing the extension, losing a browser profile, or losing the device can permanently delete them. Corvie holds no copy of a free local library.
• Corvie provides one-click export tools. Export files are unencrypted JSON and are your own access, portability, and recovery copy. Keep exports of anything you cannot afford to lose, and store them carefully.
• Corvie maintains operational backups to protect its own systems. Your library content appears in them only as ciphertext; they also include the account and billing records described in the Privacy Policy. Backups may not include your most recent changes, are not offered as a way to restore an individual user's data, and are not a substitute for your own exports.
• Sync resolves conflicting edits per record by keeping the most recent write, which can discard an older conflicting change.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Corvie is not responsible for loss or corruption of your data, whatever the cause: a lost passphrase or recovery code, lost sign-in credentials, cleared browser storage, device failure, sync conflicts, use of deletion or erase-and-start-over tools, service interruptions, or anything else. Your protection against data loss is the export tools and your own copies.

AI Features

• AI organization is optional and off by default. You choose when to run it and what it touches.
• Hosted AI is not covered by corvie's end-to-end encryption. When you run a hosted AI action, the selected data (such as saved tab titles, URLs, notes, tags, colors, tab-group titles and notes, and collection and tag names) is decrypted on your device and sent through Corvie's servers to Google Vertex AI (Gemini), which processes it under its own terms. If you enable the optional "Follow URLs" setting, the provider may also fetch and read the content of linked pages.
• The local model is the alternative. On Chrome you can instead use the browser's built-in on-device model, which processes data on your device through Chrome rather than sending it to Corvie's hosted providers. It is slower and less capable, and it never follows URLs. On-device processing is governed by your browser's own terms.
• AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or misleading. Review it before relying on it; you are responsible for how you use it. Corvie may change models, providers, and rate limits, and may modify or discontinue AI features.
• Do not send data through AI features that you do not have the right to share.

Subscriptions And Billing

• Corvie Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through Stripe at the price shown at checkout. It renews each billing period until you cancel.
• You can cancel anytime from the Manage account page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are non-refundable and Corvie does not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods.
• If a price changes, the new price applies from your next billing period, and we will give you advance notice. Taxes may be added where applicable.
• If a renewal payment fails or your subscription ends, cloud sync and hosted AI stop working. Your last successfully synced, encrypted cloud copy remains available as a read-only download from your account, subject to the deletion and retention terms in our Privacy Policy. Data already on your device stays there, and your account remains available for downloading that cloud copy or resubscribing.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the service to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights;
• interfere with or disrupt the service, probe or breach its security, or access data or accounts that are not yours;
• circumvent subscription entitlements, rate limits, or other technical restrictions;
• resell, sublicense, or offer the service to third parties as your own, or reverse engineer the service except where the law allows it despite this term;
• place abusive or automated load on Corvie's infrastructure or its AI providers.

Corvie may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, and may enforce technical limits (such as AI rate limits) to protect the service.

Corvie's Property

The corvie software, website, design, and branding belong to Corvie LLC and its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the extension and the service under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

Third-Party Services

The service depends on third parties Corvie does not control: your browser and its extension store, Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, storage, and functions, Stripe for billing, Google Vertex AI (Gemini) for hosted AI, ZeptoMail for account and billing emails, Buttondown for optional product-update emails, Cloudflare for hosting corvie.app, and Google Calendar if you connect it. Their terms and policies govern their handling of your data, and Corvie is not responsible for their acts or outages. The web pages you save belong to their owners; saving a tab does not give you or Corvie any rights over that page's content.

Termination

• You can stop using corvie at any time, and you can delete your cloud data or your entire account from the extension's settings. Deletion is permanent, subject to the backup and erasure process described in the Privacy Policy.
• Corvie may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if required by law, or to protect the service or other users. Where reasonable, we will notify you and give you a chance to export your data.
• Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including data responsibility, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute terms) survive.

Changes To The Service And These Terms

Corvie is actively developed, and features may change, be added, or be removed. We may also update these terms; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version, and material changes will be announced through the service or by email. Using the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the service and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.

Disclaimers

Corvie is built and run with care, but it is offered without guarantees. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so parts of this section and the next may not apply to you.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. CORVIE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF DATA LOSS, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

Limitation Of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CORVIE LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR USE, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. THIS INCLUDES DATA THAT BECOMES UNRECOVERABLE BECAUSE A PASSPHRASE OR RECOVERY CODE WAS LOST. CORVIE'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID CORVIE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR 50 US DOLLARS.

Indemnification

If your use of the service in violation of these terms, or your content, causes a third-party claim against Corvie, you agree to indemnify Corvie for the resulting losses, including reasonable legal fees.

Governing Law And Disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and both sides consent to their jurisdiction; either side may instead bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Before filing anything, email support@corvie.app and give us 30 days to try to resolve the issue informally.

Miscellaneous

• These terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Corvie about the service.
• If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
• You may not assign these terms. Corvie may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of the service, with notice to you.
